The ACT has a monitored output for Water Spray actuation via "Metrons" and is equipped with Two Alarm Levels - Thus providing Pre-Alarm.
The SEN is "Sense Only" - No Actuation - Two level Alarm setting.

This very low power LP unit can directly interface with "Trigger Circuits" by emulating a "conventional" detector and be "line powered" from an Address Loop. Relay contact outputs may also be used with a standard power circuit. Service replacement for FDS-7 & FDS-19.

This equipment is specificaly designed to detect carriage fire by means of LHDC and to both apply automatic vacuum brakes and notify the Locomotive / Driver with Carriage definition. The system self corrects for train "re-marshalling".
